I’m Sam,

In 1982 when Battle Hymns was released I put it on to the record player and was blown away by the different sound and intense Metal Manowar had produced. I was then and forever more a devoted fan and no other band “done it for me”
In 1987, during the Fighting the world tour, I met Joey and Eric backstage in Belfast, these guys were different – they spent time with their fans….
Since then I have attended Manowar gigs in Holland and Germany including Earthshaker, MCF I, II…next is Hellfest and MCF III…
I’m waiting for the time when they will return to “English Shores” or possibly Northern Ireland but can’t see that!!!

Hi I’m Jen,

My story is slightly different in that I had never heard of Manowar until I met Sam in 2000. I have to admit that at first I only liked a couple of songs but as Sam played more of their albums I started to love them.
The first time I saw them live was at Earthshaker and I was totally blown away. Now I am a devoted fan and an obsessive user of the HOD site. I can’t wait to see them at MCF III and can’t wait for the day when they come back to the UK.

I first heard Manowar on a Kerrang compilation album in 1985/86. The song was All Men Play On Ten and since then I have loved Manowar.

They have stayed true to their roots and have never sold out. Their songs inspire me when things get me down. I last saw them at MCF2 and they were amazing.

Hail brothers and sisters....

My name is David, I am from Ireland. I have been a ManOwaR fan since 2002 and a metal fan for as long as I can remember. Raised on a musical diet of black sabbath, deep purple and zz top courtesy of my father I naturally grew to metal. But it wasn’t until my brother bought the 'Kings of Metal' album that I found my path. From the second the engine revved on 'Wheels of Fire', the riff kicked in and I heard Eric Adams voice for the first time that I realized this was the band for me.

   Since then I have loyally followed ManOwaR, defending them against judgmental metal fans, even recruiting a few brothers and sisters along the way (I forced them to listen to ManOwaR before listening to posers).

I have seen ManOwaR only twice, Earthshaker 05 and Magic Circle 08. The fanconvention in earthshaker was one of the best experiences of my life, meeting long time friends and fellow manowarriors such as Nima and Adam, as well as other great warriors such as Joro, Edd and Matthew in person. I Look forward to meeting all of you at Magic Circle Festival 2011.

   Hail ManOwaR, the greatest metal band in history, a Hail to the army of the immortals, my fellow brothers and sisters of metal and a Hail everyone who believes that metal is the only way to live.
